Life is Strange ♡ Tea Time with Blair

With my soft, pink Marie blanket wrapped around my petite shoulders, my hand grips a delicate bunny mug filled with delicious hot tea. The warmth from the mug drifts up from it and twirls around the room, leaving the inviting scent of strawberry cheesecake hanging in the air. My free hand reaches out for the controller as my ‘Lilac a Virgin’ coated gel nail delicately pushes pause. The soft sound of the hauntingly beautiful song ‘Spanish Sahara‘ plays from my phone as I type away at a new blog post, finally feeling better enough to concentrate on it.

Hello my Little Vintage Darlings ♡

Another week has unfortunately passed since I last posted, once again falling away from my schedule, and I sincerely apologize. I have been feeling very under the weather as of late and sadly have been experiencing a lot of pain, so I have stayed away from blogging and haven’t been focusing on being active on blog comments or social media in general. I hope you Loves understand!

Though I still don’t feel the greatest, I miss writing and communicating with fellow bloggers very much. As it’s closer to spring, I have so many darling posts scheduled, but today I wanted to bring you Loves another ‘Tea Time with Blair’ discussing something that I absolutely adore with all of my heart! So grab a cup of your favorite tea, or coffee if you prefer, and let’s have a little tea time!

Today I wanted to talk about the game that is very near and dear to my heart, Life is Strange.

Life is Strange is a choice based adventure game originally developed by Dontnod Entertainment, later Deck Nine for Life is Strange: Before the Storm, and published by Square Enix. It’s available for play on PC, PS3, PS4, and Xbox 360 & One. The game consists of five episodes, the storyline of which follows 18 year old photography student at Blackwell Academy, Max Caulfield who soon discovers she has the power to rewind time simply by holding out her hand. What she doesn’t realize at first is that this rewind power comes with a downside, it creates a butterfly effect. Meaning each choice you make as Max will come with consequences.

The game opens within Max’s nightmare of an impending storm that will rip through the town of Arcadia Bay, destroying everything in its path. Startled, Max wakes up in her photography class wondering where that dream came from. Still shaken from her nightmare, she goes off to the bathroom after class when she sees a blue butterfly land on a bucket, making the perfect photo opportunity. Once she takes the photo, she hears fellow student Nathan Prescott walk in and go on a rant followed by the voice of another person, who she later learns is her childhood best friend Chloe Price. Hiding in the corner, Max witnesses Nathan shoot and kill Chloe. Not believing what she is witnessing, she reaches out with her hand and time rewinds, leaving Max back in her photography class wondering what just happened. This kicks off the beautiful beginning of the game that is Life is Strange.

When I first started playing this game, I had no idea just how attached and invested I would become in these characters and their development, especially Chloe and Max. The graphics of Life is Strange are just so incredibly beautiful, the storyline is amazing, and the music makes it all the more emotional.

To put it simply, this game is tragically beautiful.

There’s no way to get through this entire series without crying multiple times. I’m usually someone that will get a bit teary at sad parts of movies or shows, but parts of this game reduced me to full on sobbing. I could play it thousands of times, but I will always be reduced to the sobbing.

As you continue on playing as Max, you can choose to develop feelings for Chloe (I love Pricefield so much), which honestly just makes the choice you must make at the end of the game all the more heartbreaking.

All of the choices you’ve made may come full circle in the end based on which ending you decide to go with. I personally absolutely cannot go with the more heartbreaking one.

I’m going to tell you Loves my reasoning for this, but if you have yet to play Life is Strange or the Before the Storm bonus episode ‘Farewell’, please skip to after it says “End of Spoilers!”

** Spoilers for Life is Strange and Before the Storm/Farewell **

As I played through the game as Max, I saw just how much she truly cared about and loved Chloe. Therefore, there’s no possible way I could ever choose to sacrifice Chloe over Arcadia Bay right? This choice became even easier for me after the final scene in the Farewell episode and playing through Before the Storm.

There’s just no way I can have Max choose to go all the way back to the beginning and let Chloe die alone in the bathroom believing everyone she ever loved and cared about abandoned her. Thinking that she wouldn’t be missed by anyone. Choosing that ending erases the entire week Max and Chloe spent together. Everything they’ve been through, all the times Max saved Chloe, the way Max was there for her, what happened to Rachel…there’s just no way I can let Chloe die not knowing that Max came back and loved her. Not after everything Chloe has gone through and especially not after that heartbreaking message Max left in Farewell.

Some may say it’s selfish to sacrifice multiple lives for the life of one, but if it were me, I would choose the person I love over a town. I believe Max would do the same. After all Chloe is her number one priority.

I did however choose that ending just once, finally sucking it up and seeing it past the Pricefield kiss. Of course I didn’t see the full “sacrifice Chloe” ending until after playing Farewell, which is probably why I cried so hard. It broke me just like the ending of Farewell did.

I will always, always choose Chloe Price.

** End of Spoilers **

Life is Strange is truly the most heartbreaking, but yet incredibly beautiful games I have ever played and I don’t think any other game will ever compare.

I will always recommend this game to anyone every chance I get. I hope my little tea time has convinced some of you Loves out there to give this beautiful game a try. The first episode is free, by the way!

Let me know in the comments if any of you plan on giving this game a try! If you’ve already played it, feel free to tell me your opinions on it!

February Favorites ♡

Hello my little Vintage Darlings ♡

Yet another lovely month has gone by and as usual, there have been darling items that I’ve absolutely adored all throughout February.

While it is a little over a week into the whimsical month of March, I still would love to share my February favorites with you Loves.

First off I wanted to tell you all that I’m sorry for being very inactive this past week! You may have heard that those of us on the east coast were hit with a nor’easter last Friday and being that I’m in Pennsylvania, we got hit pretty bad and lost power for four days. It ended up completely throwing me off my blogging schedule as I obviously couldn’t draft, edit photos, read & comment on other’s blogs, or post anything. It honestly has me a little stressed as one of my goals this month is to really focus and grow my blog to eventually reach my ultimate goal of turning it into my own little business. However, I will be working extra hard this next week to get all caught up!

Now that, that has been said, let’s get right into my lovely favorites!

♡ Celebrity Big Brother – If you don’t follow me on Twitter, then you may not know that I’m absolutely addicted to the reality tv series Big Brother. I’ve adored the American version since the very first season and I’ve watched ever since, even subscribing to the 24/7 live feeds. Well this February was the first ever US edition of the celebrity version and I just loved it so much. While it was a shorter season than usual, 3 weeks compared to the normal 3 months, it was the best the American version has been in the past few years! The houseguests actually played the game as opposed to sticking with what one person says and not playing for themselves. A bonus was the fact that there were zero showmances! Well unless you count Metta and Orwell. While I may not have liked who won (Omarosa was robbed!) I just loved it so much and was very happy to get in my BB fix!

♡ Disney Movies – As someone who loves princesses and is enchanted by magical fairytales, I obviously love Disney and all the movies. Though lately I’ve been watching them a lot more frequently, especially all throughout February. There were some days where I’d watch one or two several nights in a row! I even finally got around to watching the live action Cinderella and I completely adored it! It’s honestly one of my favorite movies now and I just can’t stop watching it. Lily James was simply perfect as Cinderella!

♡ Lemon Cake Tea – With my love of getting cozy with a dainty cup of tea, I’ve been on the search for new delightful teas to try and I found an absolutely amazing one! It Red Rose Sweet Temptations Lemon Cake tea and its happiness in a teacup. One of my favorite things is the delicious taste of lemon tea cake and this tea tastes exactly like it! Sipping it from a vintage tea cup is like taking a delicate bite out of a fresh baked lemon cake. If you Darlings come across this tea, don’t hesitate to buy it!

♡ Lavender Beach Body Lotion – With my love of all things pastel, I originally got this lotion because I needed a filler for my Victoria’s Secret order and thought the bottle looked pretty. I figured it would be yet another lotion that I only seemed to use for photos, but I was so wrong! I ended up adoring the scent so much, it’s like lavender daydreams in a bottle. It’s a lovely soft, light scent and the feeling of the lotion on my skin is delightful. It makes my skin feel so soft and doesn’t just sit on top of the skin. The scent also lasts for a bit, which i love.

♡ My Planner – With one of my angelic goals for February being to get into planning, I did just that and bought a Big Happy Planner. The one that I’ve bought is the memory planner and I’ve been extremely happy with it! It has darling rose golds and pastel pinks and I just love that it’s an undated, vertical planner. It’s been not only helping me stay organized and keep enchanting monthly memories, but it also had been helping me get back into art! I just love getting new shabby chic and vintage looking stickers to make my weekly layouts look so dreamy.

♡ Dew This Rose Clay Mask – As someone who takes her skin care routine very seriously, I wanted to switch things up for the upcoming spring season and add more delicate & romantic rose skin care into my routine. PINK ended up coming out with a new spring beauty line and this included clay masks. Loving the light scent of roses, I just had to pick up the Rose Clay mask! I’ve been using it all month long and it’s now one of my favorite masks. It has been gentle on my soft, delicate skin and has helped make it feel even softer. Plus the scent is absolutely darling!

While I still plan on loving all of these things throughout March as well, I can’t wait to see what new favorites this month will bring me!

Let me know in the comments what some of your February favorites were! Also if you’re new to my blog and if you’re already a follower, feel free to leave a comment with your most recent blog post linked so I can catch up on some reading as well as drop you some comments and likes!

Angelic Goals for March ♡

Hello my little Vintage Darlings ♡

With the month of love over and a new month full of growth and blooming flowers upon us, I have a new list of goals I have set to achieve during the month of March. I’m delighted to say that February’s angelic goals were a success as I’ve worked on them throughout the entire month! Reaching them has not only made me happier, but they’re helping get me to my main end goals.

While I still plan on working on last months goals, like my lettering practice, I have a few new and enchanting goals I’d love to reach in March and I’m excited to share them with you Loves!

♡ Grow my Blog – One of the main things I’d love to succeed in this month is growing my blog. So far I’ve been blogging for a little over a month and while it is going well, I’d really like to kick start it this month. With having the dream to have my own little business as my job, I really need to get this blog moving. I must stick to my blogging schedule and I truly need to start networking everyday. Being that I go through anxiety and periods of not wanting to be social, I really need to be sure to push past that this month. I plan on joining blogger threads and discovering new blogs to read as well because I’d love to meet new bloggers and become friends with some!

♡ Plan a Garden Tea Party – Always dreaming of a romantic garden tea party during the spring, I want to bring this enchanting idea to life. With it still being cold and snowy here in PA during March, I can only start making plans for it. Using Pinterest I will be looking into dainty finger food recipes, adorable baked goods I can make, and decor ideas. I’ll also be trying out new teas and hopefully find some more darling teacups!

♡ Be Enchanted by Nature – With my love for frolicking through fields of daisies, traipsing through magical forests, and visiting strawberry fields, I’d love to spend more time being amazed by the beautiful nature. I’d adore spending time watching the waterfalls or having picnics in the park while enjoying the scenery. Many of the things I have planned for spring involve being outdoors, so I think this goal will be absolutely easy.

♡ Spring Cleaning – The fresh start of spring is one I absolutely adore. Everything is gentle, light, and airy. There’s nothing I’d love more than a breezy spring day where the fresh air blows through the open window with the afternoon sun shining brightly as I clean the house and make everything new again. Dusting, decorating, and putting fresh floral linen sheets on the bed is sure to make it feel and smell so much more like spring!

♡ Wear More Romantic Dresses – Finally deciding to completely be myself without caring what others might think, I want to start wearing more romantic dresses this spring. Lovely light floral prints, pastels, and linens to feel like an ethereal spring fairy dancing in the meadow.

♡ Update my Wardrobe for Spring – As the seasons change, I enjoy changing and updating my wardrobe. This season I hope to add more dainty florals and enchanting pieces to feel like a delicate spring princess.

♡ Go on Whimsical Spring Adventures – For a long time I’d let my imagination run wild with dreams and ideas of what I would do during the spring time. Sadly I’ve never set out to actually do any of those thing, that’s going to change this time. I plan on setting out on whimsical adventures from my wildest dreams not just in March, but during all of spring.

♡ Look into Starting a Garden – I’d absolutely adore attending to a little garden. Flowers are just so lovely and enchanting, I’d just love to start my own garden. I’m hoping to look into which delightful flowers, and possibly some veggies, that I would love to grow!

I’m so delighted to start working towards my angelic goals this month! With the way I accomplished them last month, I believe in myself that I can easily achieve all my March dreams.

What are some of the goals you’ve set for yourselves this lovely month?
