How to be a Snow Fairy ♡ an enchanted christmas

The light sound of rain taps on the windows as the scent of fresh baked gingerbread swirls about. With a lavender Christmas sweater on, a delightful iced peppermint mocha in hand, and the sound of Christmas music playing, I feel extra festive.

Hello my Snow Fairies!

The trees outside are lightly dusted with winter’s fluffy white frosting and the ground below glistens with freshly fallen snowflakes, making the scenery look as though it is a whimsical winter forest. Invoking a magical feeling, it makes me dream of being an ethereal snow fairy.

With this dreamy idea in mind, I wanted to share the little things I do during the winter months that make me feel like a snow fairy!

♡ Spritz yourself with Snow Fairy by Lush – This has always scent from Lush has been a favorite of mine for years now. Not only does it have a darling name, but the enchanting scent of sweets make you feel magical!

♡ Use delicate pink lip gloss – What better way to feel like a delicate fairy than to use a pretty soft pink shade?

♡ Listen to The Nutcracker soundtrack – It’s the perfect time of year to twirl around to the music of The Nutcracker while getting ready; making you feel ethereal and as though you’re off to the land of sweets.

♡ Burn a Twisted Peppermint candle in your room – While making yourself feel like a snow fairy, you can also make your home feel like the perfect cozy dreamland fit for a fairy. With notes of sugared snow, buttercream vanilla, and of course peppermint, this candle is perfect for this!

♡ Wear delicate makeup with whispie eyelashes and a simple flick of eyeliner – Simple & angelic makeup is not only adorable, but can instantly make you feel as though you truly are a snow fairy. Dust some iridescent glitter across your eyes for some added magic!

♡ Make a dainty charm bracelet with a snowflake charm your signature – One of my favorite winter accessories has always been a Swarovski crystal charm, whether that be as a pendant on a necklace or a dainty charm bracelet. I’ve always felt a snowflake charm bracelet upon delicate wrists made for a dreamy winter look.

♡ Wear light pink mittens with tiny bows – Soft, fuzzy mitten will keep delicate fingers warm and toasty in the snowy weather. Wearing them in a baby pink shade with little bows will make you feel much more the part of a snow fairy.

♡ Allow a bit of blush to dance across your nose for a darling “kissed by the cold” look – Add some across delicate cheekbones as well for an added fairy feel!

♡ Bask in the stillness of snowy nights as the snowflakes dance and glisten – When the dreamy moonlight is glowing down on the freshly fallen snow making it glisten, take in the angelic scenery. Feel the peace of a still winter night as the snowflakes dance.

♡ Carry peppermint essential oils with you everywhere you go for a quick pick me up – This is the perfect way for an enchanting winter pick me up through out the day. Not only does it smell delightful, but it will put you in the holiday mood as well!

Enchanting Winter Goals ♡ an enchanted christmas

The comforting scent of spiced cinnamon and cedarwood twirl around the room as snow falls softly outside. The soft white fairy lights twinkle as Christmas music plays, creating the perfect cozy ambience.

Hello my Snow Fairies!

With snow falling softly outside and the sounds of delightful Christmas music playing, it’s clear that December is here. Being that it is once again the most wonderful time of the year, I’ve been feeling inspired to write dreamy winter posts.

Unfortunately I never finished my Halloween posts due to once again falling into a depressive episode and letting it win. Therefore stopping me from doing something I love so much, which is this blog.

That’s why I will not be attempting blogmas this year, however I am going to post angelic holiday/winter themed posts. Though this time I’m just going to post whenever I feel like it instead of making a schedule. I feel that doing it that way will be much better for me.

Anyway, to start off this magical month, I thought I’d share some of the goals I hope to achieve this season!

♡ Write More Often – As I’ve mentioned in my intro, I’ve been letting terrible mental health affect affect me in the way that I rarely do the things I love most anymore, but I really want to work on that so that I can write more this season. I love creating my blogs, it truly brings me happiness. I also have so many ideas including ones in my drafts I wanted to post last blogmas, but didn’t because anxiety and depression got in the way. I plan on trying my absolute hardest to fight past this so that I can create all of the enchanting posts I dreamed up.

♡ Make the most out of this time of year- As many people know this is the time of year many people dislike because of the winter blues, myself included, however I want to try my best to enjoy winter instead of just wishing it away.

♡ Go Ice Skating – This was a winter goal I had last year as well, however I sadly didn’t get the chance to go ice skating due to personal things going on. So this year I want to actually make the plans to go!

♡ Stick to a Skin Care Routine – If any of you loves have ever felt with depression, then y’all know how sometimes it even causes you to neglect certain things. Unfortunately for me this meant taking care of my skin which caused it to become worse. Luckily I received some new skin care for my birthday and I’ve been trying to come up with the perfect routine that takes care of all my current skin issues. My hopes this winter is to stick with it and not let the depressive episodes cause me to ignore it.

♡ Keep up with my Journal – Earlier this year I bought a darling Marie journal from Hot Topic and decided I would write often throughout the year after being inspired by Anne Lister’s diaries and the show that goes with them, Gentleman Jack. Though I did not write in it as much as I wished to. I hope to start writing in it more often as a way to get out what I’m feeling so it’s not always stuck in my head.

♡ Get back into working out – At the beginning of this year I finally had the perfect workout routine for myself and was seeing results. For the first time I was confident in my body and even spent the summer wearing cute crop tops and shorts. Even though the number on the scale went up a bit, I knew it was due to finally having muscle as I looked better than I had before being underweight. However I then relapsed into my ED, went back to being underweight, and no longer have that body confidence. My goal is to find a workout routine that will be good for me as well as fight past my relapse so that I can not only feel better about my body, but also not be at an unhealthy weight.

♡ Drink more Water – Drinking enough water may seem so easy to some people, but I’ve noticed whenever my mental health worsens, I barely drink any at all. Obviously this is extremely bad as it can lead to health issues. My goal is to drink enough water for my body in order to feel better.

♡ Change up my look – I feel that it’s time for me to change up my look. I haven’t been feeling the greatest about myself lately and my style has been changing all year, so I’d love to play around and find my aesthetic. I’ve already started by dying my hair a color I’ve always wanted, blue/black, and I love how it looks so much!

♡ Start outfit planning – This goes along with changing up my look, I’d really like to start putting more effort into my outfits again. I’d also really like to play with different looks and actually wear all the things in my closet. I used to outfit plan all the time on Polyvore, but sadly that doesn’t exist anymore. With my outfit planning I would also love to do outfit layouts so I can start creating some fashion posts!

♡ Focus on healing myself – Like I’ve said throughout this whole post, my mental health just hasn’t been the best and it’s been this way for years. I really want to focus on getting better and I’ve realized there’s only so much I can do to help myself by myself. So I want to finally put myself and my mental health first and seek professional help as a way to get better and no longer have it stand in the way of achieving my dreams. I deserve it!
