Enchanting Winter Goals ♡ an enchanted christmas

The comforting scent of spiced cinnamon and cedarwood twirl around the room as snow falls softly outside. The soft white fairy lights twinkle as Christmas music plays, creating the perfect cozy ambience.

Hello my Snow Fairies!

With snow falling softly outside and the sounds of delightful Christmas music playing, it’s clear that December is here. Being that it is once again the most wonderful time of the year, I’ve been feeling inspired to write dreamy winter posts.

Unfortunately I never finished my Halloween posts due to once again falling into a depressive episode and letting it win. Therefore stopping me from doing something I love so much, which is this blog.

That’s why I will not be attempting blogmas this year, however I am going to post angelic holiday/winter themed posts. Though this time I’m just going to post whenever I feel like it instead of making a schedule. I feel that doing it that way will be much better for me.

Anyway, to start off this magical month, I thought I’d share some of the goals I hope to achieve this season!

♡ Write More Often – As I’ve mentioned in my intro, I’ve been letting terrible mental health affect affect me in the way that I rarely do the things I love most anymore, but I really want to work on that so that I can write more this season. I love creating my blogs, it truly brings me happiness. I also have so many ideas including ones in my drafts I wanted to post last blogmas, but didn’t because anxiety and depression got in the way. I plan on trying my absolute hardest to fight past this so that I can create all of the enchanting posts I dreamed up.

♡ Make the most out of this time of year- As many people know this is the time of year many people dislike because of the winter blues, myself included, however I want to try my best to enjoy winter instead of just wishing it away.

♡ Go Ice Skating – This was a winter goal I had last year as well, however I sadly didn’t get the chance to go ice skating due to personal things going on. So this year I want to actually make the plans to go!

♡ Stick to a Skin Care Routine – If any of you loves have ever felt with depression, then y’all know how sometimes it even causes you to neglect certain things. Unfortunately for me this meant taking care of my skin which caused it to become worse. Luckily I received some new skin care for my birthday and I’ve been trying to come up with the perfect routine that takes care of all my current skin issues. My hopes this winter is to stick with it and not let the depressive episodes cause me to ignore it.

♡ Keep up with my Journal – Earlier this year I bought a darling Marie journal from Hot Topic and decided I would write often throughout the year after being inspired by Anne Lister’s diaries and the show that goes with them, Gentleman Jack. Though I did not write in it as much as I wished to. I hope to start writing in it more often as a way to get out what I’m feeling so it’s not always stuck in my head.

♡ Get back into working out – At the beginning of this year I finally had the perfect workout routine for myself and was seeing results. For the first time I was confident in my body and even spent the summer wearing cute crop tops and shorts. Even though the number on the scale went up a bit, I knew it was due to finally having muscle as I looked better than I had before being underweight. However I then relapsed into my ED, went back to being underweight, and no longer have that body confidence. My goal is to find a workout routine that will be good for me as well as fight past my relapse so that I can not only feel better about my body, but also not be at an unhealthy weight.

♡ Drink more Water – Drinking enough water may seem so easy to some people, but I’ve noticed whenever my mental health worsens, I barely drink any at all. Obviously this is extremely bad as it can lead to health issues. My goal is to drink enough water for my body in order to feel better.

♡ Change up my look – I feel that it’s time for me to change up my look. I haven’t been feeling the greatest about myself lately and my style has been changing all year, so I’d love to play around and find my aesthetic. I’ve already started by dying my hair a color I’ve always wanted, blue/black, and I love how it looks so much!

♡ Start outfit planning – This goes along with changing up my look, I’d really like to start putting more effort into my outfits again. I’d also really like to play with different looks and actually wear all the things in my closet. I used to outfit plan all the time on Polyvore, but sadly that doesn’t exist anymore. With my outfit planning I would also love to do outfit layouts so I can start creating some fashion posts!

♡ Focus on healing myself – Like I’ve said throughout this whole post, my mental health just hasn’t been the best and it’s been this way for years. I really want to focus on getting better and I’ve realized there’s only so much I can do to help myself by myself. So I want to finally put myself and my mental health first and seek professional help as a way to get better and no longer have it stand in the way of achieving my dreams. I deserve it!

What I Adore About October ☽ 13 Nights of Halloween

The delectable scent of cinnamon sugar swirls with the soft smell of churned butter, powdered sugar, agave, and delightful vanilla bean as the stream of smoke dances from an incense stick. The sweet scent meets the warm, inviting smell of freshly made pumpkin spice waffles; creating the cozy feel of autumn.

☽☽☽

Hello, Witches!

The days are getting shorter, the air is slowly becoming cooler, and everywhere you turn you see tiny pumpkins and witchy decor. This could only mean one thing; it’s finally spooky season!

With October here and the Halloween season upon us, I’ve decided to participate in blogtober. However instead of doing 31 post for 31 days of October, I’ve chosen to instead do 13 posts and call it ’13 Nights of Halloween.’ I’ll be posting them every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday until Halloween. I’m excited for all of you to see what I have planned for each post!

Also before I get into today’s post, you may have noticed LaVieEnRoseDiaries has had a very witchy makeover! I really enjoyed creating it, so I hope you find it pretty.

Being that October is one of my most favorite months, I wanted to do a fall themed version of my ‘Little Things I Adore‘ series! So below you’ll find a list of the small things that bring a smile to my face during the month of October.

Wake Up with a Princess ♡ My Real Morning Routine

The early morning end of summer sun peaks through sheer curtains, casting pretty beams of light around the room. The delicate scent of sweet cinnamon and pumpkin drifts about, setting the mood for the start of the morning.

♡♡♡

Hello Beachy Babes!

Welcome back to my darling blog! After a long while of not feeling creative at all, I’ve found some inspiration to write again and what better way to start posting again than with a summer morning routine? However, this routine will be different than any others I have posted in the past. Instead of being a fancy pamper routine, this one will follow my real everyday morning.

Part of me coming back to blogging is that I wanted to show more real sides. Not to say that things I posted were fake, those were very real things I’ve done however, just written in an enchanting fairytale way; I have just being wishing to show more than just the fancy side of things as well. I’ll still be doing my enchanting day in the life posts though as I adore writing them. In fact, I’ll be posting a beach one soon!

Anyway, this post was partly inspired by those ‘Wake Up With’ videos on YouTube as well as Alisha Marie’s ‘Real Morning Routine’ video.

I hope you loves enjoy it!

As the morning sun beams begin illuminating the room, I hear a melody playing; soft at first, but then loudly. Is this the angelic fairies playing their enchanting tunes in my dreams?

Nope, it’s just my alarm blaring the Grey’s Anatomy theme song, letting me know I better get up for the long day ahead.

With a sigh I reach over for my phone, trying and failing to stop the noise, and check to see the time: 6am on the dot. Not super early, but early enough to cause me to go from mellow dreamer to an overdramatic Sharpay Evans type in .05 seconds flat.

Usually a happy morning person, today just wasn’t one of those days; it’s been awhile since those days. Letting out yet another overly dramatic sigh, I reach for my phone (now quiet) and open it to my texts.

I send out a lovely little good morning text, in the form of a darling gif, to my group chat to let them know I care.

That’s what those idiots get for naming me the Chanel Oberlin of the chat

Setting my phone back down, I sit up in bed. My soft Ariel blanket now tossed aside, I glance around the room, squinting at the sun. Wanting to establish a good morning routine and get back into my workout plan, I decided I should start doing at least one workout in the mornings as a way to get me up, ready for the day, and feeling lovely. Today is the start of that and I absolutely couldn’t wait to begin.

I’m sorry I was kidding. I was lying to myself when I said I would actually do that.

With that, I finally drag myself out of bed and into the bathroom to do all of the basics that one does in a bathroom at the crack of dawn; I end this with washing and moisturizing my face. Being that my skin has been acting problematic lately, I reach for my current holy grail product: Phoenix Facial Oil. I thought it would’ve made my face feel terribly gross, but instead it adds that extra moisture that my always dry & dull skin needs. Bonus, it makes my skin look naturally dewy to where I don’t need concealer and highlight!

Before starting on my makeup, I like to light a candle and being that I’m overly excited for fall, I’m lighting my Sweet Cinnamon Pumpkin candle. It’s such a cozy scent and it puts me in a good mood.

Now every morning while I do my makeup, I enjoy putting something on to watch. Unfortunately for me this just leads to me taking longer to get ready being that I’ll stop mid-eyebrow just to pay attention to the show.

Recently my go to morning show has been Beverly Hills 90210 and if you’re wondering, I am in fact the president of the ‘I Hate Brandon Walsh Fan Club’ while also being the captain of the ‘Andrea Zuckerman is the Cutest Thing About This Show’ club. Donna Martin is a close second though.

Anyway, on to the actual makeup part.

So as many people lately, I have recently gotten into Euphoria and it’s definitely inspired me and given me new makeup ideas. I mean my everyday makeup routine usually consists of an unnatural eye look anyway (neutral eye looks have never been my thing), but binge watching Euphoria just encouraged me to take it one step further and be even more extra. So shimmery pink and dramatic glitter tears with a blushy nose at 6:30am it is!

I’m not happy unless it looks like I just cried glitter

Though I gotta say, to you beauties out there always doing the neutral looks, y’all look so cute!

As for the rest of my makeup, I’ve been trying to not irritate my skin further so I only use blush on my face, a bit of contour on my nose, and just fill in my eyebrows. I only use the tiniest bit of concealer if I feel I need it. I complete everything with winged liner and my favorite wispy falsies.

Now my hair, that’s a different story. Sometimes I like to switch it up and wear my pink lace front so I have cute dyed hair without the damage, but today I’m going simple with my regular hair extensions as I’ve got sucked into too many episodes of 90210 and I’m now behind schedule. No surprise there.

I simply put my long hair, that I paid for, up into a ponytail. With my dark brown to dark blonde ombré hair cascading down my back, I’m finally ready to get dressed.

If you’re ever wondering if my hair is real, it’s not. Not ever.

Opening the closet, I think about which one of my style personalities wants to come out today: The overly girly, super pink side? The heavily AHS Coven inspired side? Or the laidback femme?

Shrugging, I reach for an outfit that can only be described as the femme version of Kim Possible and decide to run with it. Call me, beep me babes.

no seriously i’m taking wife applications so call me beep me

With that I also grab my new black moto jacket and a flannel (because obviously) despite the fact that the sun is currently outside screaming, “hey idiot, it’s still summer!”

The last thing I do in the mornings is make a delicious full breakfast of one pumpkin spice iced coffee.

i’m just kidding. don’t be like me. pls eat.

ps. this is basically me never being able to sit straight

Well I did say I was giving y’all my real morning routine. I really hope you loves enjoyed it and you liked this kind of post. Like I said above, I really want to show other parts of me as opposed to just the one sided princessy & super girly me.

Bonne Chance Collections Review & OOTD ♡

The fresh scent of peonies and roses dancing around me as I sit in front of a beautiful bouquet of flowers; the darling sight giving me much needed inspiration.

♡♡♡

Hello my little Rosy Darlings!

After some much needed head clearing and getting myself into a new routine for healthier habits, I’m feeling rejuvenated and full of new ideas! Im very excited to get back into writing, spreading positivity, and starting up my new blogging schedule. Which, by the way, will be three days a week: Sunday, Wednesday, and Friday!

For today’s lovely post I wanted to share with you Darlings one of my favorite places that I have been shopping with for quite some time now. It’s an amazing online shop that I buy many of my girly & vintage inspired dresses and skirt sets, including the whimsical floral dress you may have seen me posting photos a lot of on my Instagram.

It’s called Bonne Chance Collections!

What this online shop is, is an indie online boutique that sells dresses and 2 pieces sets (a cute little top and skirt set) that are retro inspired.

Think Audrey Hepburn era! They actually even have a style dress called the Hepburn Dress.

The dresses they sell come in many different designs and there’s so many adorable prints to choose from. Personally I tend to favor anything they put out with a floral print. The sizes rang from small to large as well as a plus size 1 capsule collection they have.

My favorite thing about Bonne Chance Collections is the fact that their dresses are handmade. You can clearly tell the care that goes into making each and every one of these items. From the pretty and great quality materials they use to the tiny little details like the flower shaped buttons, there’s truly nothing bad to say about this brand.

They put so much care into their products that even their packing has a lot of detail. When ordering, your dresses get packed up in cute little boxes and tied with pretty pastel yarn. Not only that, but with each order they send out a little handwritten card!

Another great thing about this company is that the pricing is super inexpensive for what you’re getting. Everything on their site is only $34.99 and every month towards the end of the month they have a site wide sale for $29.99!

As for shipping, in my experience my orders have always processed and shipped out in no more than two days as long as it’s not ordered near a major holiday. They ship out from Arizona and even though I’m in Pennsylvania, I usually receive my order within two days of the shipment.

The last thing I want to say about Bonne Chance Collections before getting into my outfit, is that they’re honestly so sweet! They’re always sure to answer questions on their social media, responds to people quickly, and they even like and comment one your posts!

img_0469

Now for my favorite part, showing my outfit which features one of my favorite Bonne Chance Collections purchases, the Secret Garden Lolita Dress!

The whimsical dress is an off the shoulder fit with a pink watercolor rose print as well as a pink chiffon ruffle. I simply adore the Lolita style dress as it makes me feel like a vintage princess that’s about to go to an afternoon tea!

Being that the dress is so gorgeous on its own, I simply paired it with nude tights, black pointed toe heels (not pictured), and my Tiffany necklace.

Before I end this post, I just thought I should put a little disclaimer. I was not asked to make this post nor am I getting anything out of it. Everything I have purchased from Bonne Chance Collections I have paid for and they don’t even know I was doing this post. I just wanted to share one of my favorite online shops for any fellow girly-girls out there!

As always I hope you Darlings enjoyed the post and are having an amazing day/night wherever you are!

Resolutions & Dreams ♡ Tea Time with Blair

The gentle tapping of soft rain trickles against the windows as the song Strawberries & Cigarettes plays softly. Feeling overwhelmed with the stress of the next few weeks ahead, I’m in need of a complete fresh start.

♡♡♡

Hello my Darlings!

With the holiday season almost officially behind us, I’m ready to jump into a blogging schedule and bring all of my enchanting planned out posts to you loves!

As you can tell, I didn’t complete blogmas. My reasoning being that as it was the Christmas season, I just wanted to live in the moment and enjoy it. I was also starting feeling indifferent about it as some of the posts just weren’t me or in brand with my blog. I just didn’t want to put up content just to put up content and I also didn’t want to put up a post if I didn’t have time to give love to other’s blog posts.

Though fear not, my darlings! I’m still going to remain consistent with blogging as blogmas has made me realize that I truly missed writing and it’s one of my goals for the new year!

Speaking of which, that is what today’s lovely post is all about; my wishes for the new year and reflecting on 2018. So snuggle up with your softest blanket, a delightful cup of tea, and sit back for a darling tea time blog with me!

This time last year I was in an awful place in life; almost as bad as I was back in 2014. After something awful happening to me at the place I used to work at and replanting back into an eating disorder, it just seemed to be all downhill from there. Even though it felt hopeless, I set goals for the year. Though as some of you may know from past posts, I wasn’t able to do all that I wanted.

However, with all the ups and downs of 2018, I did accomplish one thing I really wanted; I found a part of myself. Through learning this part and coming to accept myself fully for who I truly am, I felt as though a huge weight was lifted from my shoulders. Everything in my life just started making sense and I’ve learned so much about myself since then. Just this small discovery made the year less bitter for me.

While I may not be completely in a healed and happy place, I’d still like to set out on some dreams and resolutions for this new year. I feel that I’m in a place where I will be able to take the proper steps to completing them so that I can welcome in healing light and positivity in my everyday life.

That’s my main goal of the new year after all, only allowing healing light & positive thoughts.

♡ Treating myself better – This is a huge one for me being that I do have an eating disorder as well as body dysmorphia, which causes me to be extra hard on myself and to be quite frank, bully myself. It gets to the point where I break down crying over it and honestly I just don’t deserve that. With the fact that I have people in my life (and even random people sometimes) who say rude and hurtful things to me including things about my looks, I just feel I shouldn’t add to it by also being mean to myself. I deserve self love and feeling good.

♡ Gaining confidence and complimenting myself – This brings me to my next point and goal, feeling confident. Something I’ve come to learn this past year is that some people fear confidence. They’ll see someone feeling themselves and saying things like “I’m amazing, pretty, beautiful, etc…” and they immediately try to bring that person down by insulting them, calling them ugly and saying they’re full of it among a plethora of other terrible things I’ve seen when another person expresses their confidence. It’s awful to see that some others have to do this to feel better about themselves.

My issue with this is that I’ve always been afraid to express my own confidence and complimenting myself for fear of someone trying to do that to me. I feel as though if I say I’m pretty, I’m an amazing person, or I’m worth it (whether it’s a rare moment I feel it or I’m trying to “fake it until I make it”) someone will just hate me for it and comeback with “you’re not cute, you aren’t a great person at all, etc.” Honestly I’ve actually had this very thing happen multiple times including on my Twitter. I was told I shouldn’t call myself cute insinuating that I’m ugly. That completely got to me. So I constantly put myself down about my looks as a way to beat them to it. If I never feel good about myself, then they can’t insult me right? Wrong.

So I’m not doing that anymore. I don’t deserve it.

♡ Embracing myself and not caring about other’s opinions – What I’ve learned is that no matter what you do — whether you’re being what everyone expects you to be or being your true self — someone out there will always have a problem with it. There’s always going to be someone trying to be negative and bring you down to their level for whatever it is you’re doing…so you might as well be completely you.

I want to let my true self shine through 100% no matter what. Be it through my personality, my makeup, hair, style, etc; I want it to be authentically me and not give one care what anyone has to say about it. The people that take an issue with it, well they don’t belong in my life do they? Not at all.

♡ Not giving up, staying down, or letting self-doubt stop me- There’s been too many times that I’d set goals and create dreams, but then life gets messy and I have to change things up or I get knocked down. This leads me to doubting myself and a whole lot of self hatred and being hard on myself, which then leads me to giving up completely. I must do my absolute best to knock this off. I can’t let a roadblock get in the way of what I truly want to do because if I do, then I’ll never reach my dreams.

I want push through, remain consistent, and complete all my goals. Even if it takes longer than expected and even if there’s a roadblock, I want to be able to find a solution and work around it instead of giving it all up.

I know these goals aren’t going to be achieved overnight, but that’s okay. Maybe that’s just what I need to actually reach them, to know that it will take time and it won’t be a straight, smooth road to get to them.

And that’s okay because I’ll get there eventually.

I hope all you loves have a safe and happy New Years and you’ve enjoyed this tea time. Let me know some of your goals for the new year in the comments below!

Winter Photo Diary ♡ Blogmas Day 16

Hello my Sugarplum Darlings!

For today’s enchanting blogmas post, I decided to share a December photo diary as I’ve been wanting to start doing these types of posts on my blog! I just adore taking pretty photos as well as writing down memories.

For my December photo diary, there aren’t very many “adventurous” photos as I’ve been super busy lately with my blog and everyday life in general.

Blogmas has been keeping me very busy, though I have sadly slacked off the past few days. Hopefully you loves still enjoy this post!

♡ Being that I’ve recently decided to make the jump and get rid of my red hair, I’ve been wearing my blush pink lace front wig lately. To get the red dye out, I had to use ColorFix which left my hair looking as though it’s a blonde/pink ombre and I’m not too fond of it. Until I’m able to reach the color I wish to have, I’ll definitely be using this adorable wig!

♡ Earlier this week I was lucky enough to receive a darling early Christmas gift, the lovely Marie mug and spoon set! I was absolutely delighted to get this.

♡ As you may already know from my candle day haul, I recently purchased a bunch of delightful Christmas candles from Bath & Body Works. These three are the ones I’ve adored the most as their super Christmassy!

♡ I have finally found the time to wrap a few Christmas presents and set them gently under the tree. I was trying to put more effort into my wrapping this year but using darling bows and sparkly ribbons!

♡ In order to relax this week, I tried delightful rose tea with real, fresh rose petals! It was positively delightful!

♡ Another wonderful early gift arrived and it was a new gold iPad! I was absolutely excited about this as it’s been a few years since I had an iPad. I obviously had to immediately download both Life is Strange games and start playing!

Hope all you loves are having a great December!

The Land of Sweets ♡ Enchanted Holiday Night Routine ♡ Blogmas Day 14

As dreamy snow falls from the starry skies, the silence of a winter night surrounds the town. Innocent snowflakes dust my long, dark lashes as a soft smile plays at my lips. After a long, but lovely day spent running Christmassy errands, I return home to unwind.

As soon as I step through the door the enchanted scent of twisted peppermint, wonderful sugared snow, and soft vanilla swirl around me like a warm hug. Instantly it’s as though I’m transported to the magical land of sweets.

Skipping off like a snow fairy, I remove my fluffy blush pink coat, hanging it up. My long snow-white vintage gown with a ballet pink ribbon at the waist makes me feel like Clara from The Nutcracker. Long blush pink hair cascades in soft, dreamy curls down my back. Pulled half up/ half down with a delicate pink bow, it swishes gently as I walk into my pink wonderland room.

With the scent of lovely peppermint growing stronger, I plug in all of the twinkling Christmas lights. The room now illuminated by magical fairy lights and an enchanted tree, I have arrived to my own personal Land of Sweets.

The Overture from The Nutcracker begins playing softly as I remove my pink satin bow heels.

Feeling absolutely euphoric as we’re in the midst of my most favorite time of year, I twirl around the illuminated room to the music of The Nutcracker soundtrack. Curls bouncing softly, I feel so angelic and ethereal; like a dreamy Christmas fairy.

Once I’m done with my little happy dancing, I put on my blush bow slippers, grab my darling sparkling star robe, and pick out which festive pajamas I wish to wear. Heading off to the bathroom, I start a warm bath. After adding in some Sparkling Snow bubble bath, I drop in a Snow Fairy bath bomb from Lush. The water begins to become a pretty swirl of light pinks and sparkly bubbles. Lighting my White Mint Latte candle, I step into the enchanting bath. The warmth engulfs me as the Sugarplum Fairy plays in the background. I instantly feel relaxed and magical.

Slipping into red satin pajamas, perfectly suited for the Christmas season, I put on my dreamy champagne colored robe with ruffled sleeves. The glittering stars all over it only make me feel much more festive. Putting out my latte candle, I step back into my pink wonderland room.

Sitting at my girly blogging/makeup desk, I write in my rose gold journal as I plan out my weekly schedule and blogmas posts. The soft white faux fur on my desk brushes against my wrist as I write. I take a moment to look up from my current work to admire the pink wonderland decor on my desk and my darling trees. Everything about this time of year simply makes me so happy.

Done with my planning for the night, I reach over to grab my dainty Royal Albert Christmas Tree mug. Choosing between gingerbread tea and Starbucks Holiday Blend coffee, I decide to go for the coffee and make a wonderful peppermint mocha.

I settle in on the couch with my coffee and a cozy red and green Christmas sherpa blanket. I enjoy my delicious peppermint mocha as I catch up on vlogmas videos on YouTube.

Setting my now empty mug aside and slipping back into my bow slippers, I head back off to the bathroom to wash my face. Before beginning my skincare routine, I put on my blush pink bow headband to be sure my curls don’t fall in my face.

Once I’ve washed my face and brushed my teeth, I apply a rose hydrogel face mask and skip back to the land of sweets to pick out an enchanting Christmas movie to watch.

Settling on one of my absolute favorites, I watch Beauty & the Beast The Enchanted Christmas as I have a pink and white peppermint candy cane as a delightful snack.

As the movie ends, I head off to bed. Settling underneath cozy & fluffy pink blankets, I drift off to sleep with the sounds of The Nutcracker soundtrack playing through my headphones. With my silk blush sleep mask on, I dream of dainty sugarplums and the waltz of the flowers.
