I met my younger self for coffee. She was 30 minutes early and already waiting for me, anxiously stirring her vanilla iced latte.
Her blonde hair was freshly highlighted and straight as she looked around visibly uncomfortable. I could tell by her body language she wanted to disappear; to be unseen and invisible — afraid of being perceived and harshly judged the way she always was.
As I walk over to sit with her, she takes me in. With my long pink hair flowing down my back in soft waves and a book tucked under my arm, I give her a friendly smile as i sit down with my iced coffee.
She stares at my hair — most likely thinking that she can’t believe we finally dyed our hair something other than a shade of blonde. Diverting her eyes, she looks down at the book I now placed on the table. The title “The Almost Bride” by Sienna Waters stares back at her, but she seems laser focused on one part on the book’s cover — “From Bestselling Lesbian Romance Author” and she seems to freeze with confusion written all over her face.
She then looks at our left hand and takes notice of the ring on our finger — yes that kind of ring.
She mumbles quietly that we never wanted to get married and almost sounds let down as she starts fidgeting and looking at me with a million unasked questions.
She’s unsure of herself, so she doesn’t ask any of them, but I know her — I know exactly how she’s feeling and what she wants to say.
I smile softly back at her and tell her it’s okay to feel what she does in this moment. To be unsure about herself and her dreams — that’s she’s still young and it’s perfectly fine to not know ourselves yet. That she’s been through so much already and it’s understandable that she’s confused on things.
Finally she speaks in a delicate tone, though anxious, and asks how we’re doing and where we ended up. She tells me she doesn’t believe there is a place for her in this world and she doesn’t understand how we made it this far when she could never quite see past her almost 18 years of life.
Being honest with her, I tell her we made it in our own little way — with a few bumps along the road and many tears shed over the years. That we had to fall and begin again many times and pick ourselves up. That no matter what this life throws at us, we’ve continued to persevere and try again.
That eventually somewhere along the way we find ourselves — we truly and honestly finally find us. We discover parts of us that finally click and make sense and we come out. That it isn’t easy at first — in fact it’s actually terrifying, but we surround ourselves with a healthy support system full of found family and friends and embrace our truest selves.
I tell her we start therapy as well and find our outlet through our blog.
She has unshed tears in her blue eyes as she whispers a question — it’s about the ring.
I can feel the warmth and happiness radiating through my body as I tell her about the one. How lovely she is — how she makes us feel seen and loved entirely. How safe she makes not only the current us feel, but how safe all versions of us feel with her. Finally safe to be us to the fullest with no judgement at all.
Her tears are now flowing freely — something she rarely allows to be seen — and I can tell she feels a sense of relief. Relief that it might truly all be okay eventually.
We finish our coffee and our conversation and I hug her goodbye — giving her the hug she’s always needed and we go our separate ways.
The delicate scent of pink spun sugar mingles gracefully with the comforting aroma of apple cinnamon. This enchanting blend mixes with the delectable scent pasta summing on the stove. Outside, a gentle snowfall blankets the world in a serene hush, creating the perfect cozy atmosphere.
Hello, my lovelies! ♡
Welcome back to my cozy little whimsical corner of the internet! Today I have a lovely little post to share of the dreamiest Valentine’s day spent with my beloved—a day filled with creativity, romance, and the simple joys of just being together. So grab your favorite warm drink and your coziest blanket, and let’s jump right in to our magical day!
Morning Bliss
The gentle glow of the morning sun streams through the windows, casting the warmest embrace over our cozy haven. Exchanging sleepy smiles and soft whispers, we wish each other a happy Valentine’s Day, savoring the quiet beauty of the morning. Leaving the warmth of our blankets, we head downstairs to make breakfast and coffee together.
The inviting aroma of freshly brewed coffee fills there air in no time as we go about our usual morning routine of breakfast. As we wait for it to finish while sipping our coffee, we share our dreams for the day ahead; each moment filled with anticipation and love.
Makeup & Sentiments
After breakfast, we retreat back upstairs hand in hand to get ready for our day. While getting ready, we reminisce about cherished memories and the journey we’ve shared, excited to make even more today.
With our laughter and words of love mingling with the soft music playing in the background, we finish getting ready and head back downstairs to find a cute romance movie to watch. After debating between several movies, we settled on Crushed (2022), a lesbian romantic comedy. Cozying up together, we watch the movie as it fills us with laughter and warm fuzzy feelings.
Culinary Romance
As the afternoon sun casts golden hues across the kitchen, we start preparing a romantic dinner for two. As we’re getting the ingredients prepared, we peer out of the window and an enchanting view catches our eye, three deer are nibbling on the grass in the yard. Marveling over how precious they are, we snap a few photos to keep as a memory.
After admiring the whimsical scene before us, we start our dinner together. The air is filled with the fragrant aroma of herbs and spices as we cook together side by side, our hearts dancing to the rhythm of our shared efforts.
As our dinner finishes, we grab fancy wine glasses and pour ourselves a glass. Over our delicious meal of creamy pasta, we toast to love and the adventures that lie ahead.
Artistic Exchange
As the evening draws near, we retreat to our crafting nook and move to the second part of our date — a painting swap. Two blank canvas lie before us, waiting to be transformed. As we take turns adding details to each other’s works, we exchange stories and laughter with each brushstroke. The result of our paint swap is two whimsical paintings that really capture us as a couple and a new shared memory to deepen our bond.
Cozy Conclusion
As twilight descends and the stars once again begin their evening dance, we snuggle up together for another movie. Wrapped in soft blankets and feeling rejuvenated from our shower, we choice a movie, the cat nestled between us. We choose the movie Up as it’s one of my girlfriend’s most favorite movies. We share warmth and affection until the credits roll. As sleep begins to make our eyelids start to shut, we exchange sweet smiles and gentle kisses, our hearts full of love and gratitude for each other.
It truly was the perfect, cozy Valentine’s Day.
And so, my Lovlies, our dreamy Valentine’s Day comes to a close. It was a day I’ll always cherish and I hope it brought you on the journey with us and filled your hearts with a warm, fuzzy tenderness. Until my next post, may your days and dreams be filled with love and happiness! ♡
The inviting scent of brown sugar intertwines with a hint of cinnamon in the air — enveloping the entire house in a delightful warmth as the snickerdoodle cookies bake to perfection. A captivating spiced bourbon cider candle casts a gentle, flickering glow — the living room feeling as though it’s wrapped in the warmest of blankets in a cold winter night.

Scarlet Campbell’s friends had all coupled off, and it had happened this year. All five of them had found love while Scarlet had continued to go back and forth about coming out to her family, and on top of that, she still couldn’t talk to women. Every time she tried, she choked. She got nervous. She said something stupid. As a result, she was still a single nerd who worked as a data analyst and did coding on the side.
Dakota Wagner was new to the marketing team of a software company, tasked with building a customer community. To do that, though, she needed data. When Dakota was sent Scarlet’s way, she found the woman endlessly adorable, so she wanted to get to know more about her other than her fascination with sugar and numbers. In Scarlet’s eyes, Dakota was sexy, smart, and would have no problem finding a girlfriend easily, so Scarlet didn’t think she’d have a chance. Little did she know that Dakota was exactly who she needed in her life to get the courage to be more herself, conquer her fears, and finally come out to her family.

Is Christmas magic (and some intervening from their teenage daughter) enough to bring Jordan and Spencer back together or is it too late?

Her dream is to continue to grow the place she loves so much and make it a must visit place in Maine.
But when the owner dies just before Christmas and leaves half the farm to Charlie, the last thing she expects is the other new owner to be her high school rival. And for her to still look so damn beautiful.
Delaney Baxter doesn’t know the first thing about owning a Christmas tree farm. After living in Florida since college, it has been years since Delaney has seen snow or even bothered to put up a tree for the holidays. She’s reluctant to go back to her hometown to settle her aunt’s affairs. And when she finds out Charlie also inherited half of the farm, Delaney is ready to leave town as soon as possible.
After calling a truce for the holidays, Delaney slowly begins to realize that Charlie isn’t the villain she’d remembered her to be. As for Charlie, she’s wondering why Delaney looks so perfectly at home sitting in the kitchen. Can these two former rivals learn to work together in life and love? Or will their Christmas inheritance tear them further apart?
With property developer Michael Landgrave trying to buy out the small-town center and pave it over, the town’s best hope is their Christmas Committee revitalizing the old Christmas festival the town used to be famous for. Unfortunately, Piper is the only member of the committee.
But when aloof legal writer Lyra Simmons visits town to spend the holidays away after a breakup, and Piper invites herself as her welcoming committee, a new friendship—and an accidental fake relationship—might just save Castle Hollow.
If Piper can get herself together. Frankly, it doesn’t seem likely.
Two stranded travellers. One secret crush. Can they make it home without falling in love?
Thrown together when their plane conks out and a blizzard rolls in, Morgan Scott and her childhood friend Ali Bradford are on a mission to make it from Glasgow to Devon in time for Christmas.
The catch? Roads and trains are up the spout, Morgan’s patience is running low, and Ali has had a secret crush on Morgan since forever. But she can keep a lid on over two decades of unrequited love. Particularly when they keep having to share a bed. Absolutely no problem at all.
As Morgan and Ali inch south, they discover more about themselves and each other. This is one twisty road trip that takes them places they’ve never been before, and might just change their lives forever.
Twins Jones and Mallory Garner never expected the holidays to be so climactic.
Ice queen Jones is the Vice President of Smithfield Marketing, a high profile marketing firm in the heart of NYC. She’s risen to the top of her game by not caring about the people she steps on along the way. Love isn’t on her radar; that next big promotion is though. With the announcement of her boss’s retirement, Jones was fully expecting to slide right into the presidential position she’s been dreaming of for years. But with her career suddenly in limbo, she begins to question her future.
The always sunny Mallory is the lead trainer at Paws on a Mission. She opened the organization with Mason Mackenzie and can’t imagine working anywhere else. Mostly because Mallory’s friends call her a human golden retriever, which means she fits right in at work. Mallory’s dedication to her job means she hasn’t had a vacation in years. Heck, she’s not even had a date in who knows how long. After striking out with love before, Mallory has no desire to get hurt again.
When Jones suggests that they swap places for a few weeks before Christmas, Mallory agrees to do a switch-a-roo one more time. The last thing either of them expects is to fall for someone in the other’s world. How do they explain what they’ve done to the people they’ve grown to care for? And how do they go back to their old lives now?
A lesbian romance where the realest thing about a fake relationship is all the possibilities.

It’s a dream come true after so long looking for her big break. For years, life and raising her half-sister have gotten in the way.
Erica Goode works two jobs while all her spare energies are focused on her eight-year-old daughter. She would love a social life, but who has time? A deal to be wined and dined if she fakes a relationship sounds fun. Although, it’d help if she wasn’t attracted to her date quite so much. Oh, and if the woman wasn’t averse to children. Really, there’s no way anything can come of it. Right?
Is it possible to get what you wish for, if you’re willing to give it a try?

The soft sound of ‘happiness is a butterfly’ drifts from my phone, gently pulling me out of my slumber. With a light stretch, i reach over to turn it off and see that it’s 5am. Wish to snuggle down into my fluffy pink blanket, I instead pull back the blanket and get out of bed.
One of my 2023 goals was to get back to get back on my pink pilates princess routine as that’s when I feel my best. So lately I’ve been waking at 5am and today is no different.
Leaving the warmth of my bedroom, i make my way to the bathroom. Hearing a tiny meow on my way, I stop to bend down and pet my adorable little cat. While in the bathroom I do the usual morning things like brushing my teeth and washing my face, however I don’t do my full skincare routine yet as I will being doing my pilates routine first. Tying my butterfly layered hair into a claw clip, I change into my workout clothing and leave the bathroom to go full my water bottle.
Grabbing my baby pink yoga mat as well as my ankle & wrist weights, I am now ready for my pilates routine.
For my routine I like to first start out with a stretching video to warm up my body and prepare it for my workout. Following my warm up, I then go into my hour long pilates session before finishing off my workout with a twenty minute hiit session and then a cooldown stretch.
I’m always left feeling so positive and rejuvenated after every pilates session. Almost as if a fog has been lifted from my head.
Once i’m finished my workout, I hop in the shower allowing the hot water to sooth my muscles. The shower after a pilates session always feels amazing. After getting dressed for the day, I brew myself either a tea or coffee depending what i’m in the mood for that morning and i finish off my skincare routine. Lately i’ve been really focused on moisturizing my face and have found a few new favorite products.

With my workout routine finished and my skincare done, I make myself a healthy vegan breakfast smoothie and drink it while I work from home. After all of my important tasks are out of the way, I then start editing some of the content i’ve been creating lately.
My fluffy cat in my lap, today I am editing a few affirmation videos as well as blog graphics at my dreamy pink desk. I’ve really been enjoying making them as they’ve been helping me stay in a positive mindset!
A few hours later, I step away from working on my computer and ipad for a break. During my break I usually like to go on a walk and take in the scenery of the nature. Unfortunately being that it is winter and it’s freezing outside, I instead choose growwithjo step video. That way i still feel like i’m getting a walk in to get my step goal. It does after all get a bit tedious sitting at a desk most of the day.
Finishing the steps video, I make a slightly later lunch of a fresh grilled chicken salad with a small amount of my favorite light dressing. Refilling my water bottle, i sit at the wooden dining table and eat my delicious lunch. While eating I sometimes like to continue my reading.
Opening up my kindle app, I click open my current read. ‘The Revenge Plot’ by Sienna Waters is her newest sapphic romance novel to drop this month. Those are my absolute favorite type of book and i’m forever only reading those kind.
When i’m finished with my lunch and reading, I put on a show for background noise as I finish up more work. Lately I’ve been back on my degrassi binge so as I work I can hear Clare dramatically going off on Eli at The Dot in the background.
⋆ ˚。⋆୨୧˚˚ ༘♡ ⋆。˚˚୨୧⋆。˚ ⋆
Finally finishing up the work I had to do for the day, I then begins any cleaning that must be done around the house. Lighting a sandalwood incense stick to cleanse out the energy after cleaning, I then decide on dinner as well as feed my cat his dinner.
With him meowing loudly for dinner despite getting treats and having a massive bowl of dry food all day, he finally quiets down to eat. Though I know the second I sit down with my own dinner he will be meowing and begging because he believes he should have at least three dinners per day. Cats are cute fuzzy drama queens.
Deciding on mushroom and spinach raviolis for dinner, I begin making it. When it is finished, I also pour myself a glass of my favorite moscato and set the table to eat.
Just like I predicted, my cat is there meowing and trying to be as cute as possible so he can try to get more food out of me.
⋆ ˚。⋆୨୧˚˚ ༘♡ ⋆。˚˚୨୧⋆。˚ ⋆
Finishing up with dinner and the dishes, I now have free time for the rest of the night. This time is usually spent talking with my friends to have a vent/tea session or catching up on a show I may have missed. This is also usually the time when I tend to eat my nightly gummy.
Before it kicks in, I start my nighttime skincare routine which is a little bit longer than my daytime one as I sometimes like to do a peel or sheet mask.
Taking the sheet mask off my face after the fifteen minutes and gently patting the rest into my face, I then use my rose quartz roller before getting dressed for bed.
Applying my lip oil and grabbing my favorite pair of headphones, I take myself back to bed to listen to 8d music until the gummy causes me to sleep.
A day in the life of a pink pilates princess is complete.
My favorite part of a new year is feeling as though it’s a fresh slate, especially for getting into new routines. One of my goals for this year is to get back to my pink pilates princess routine (as that’s when I feel my best) and to work on my mindset. To help me with this, I made a lovely pink pilates princess subliminal full of the most positive affirmations!
have the perfect pilates routine pink pilates princess aesthetic motivation to workout embody the pink pilates princess aesthetic all the time always have healthy food healthy diet love working out wake up early everyday lean body toned body desired body desired workout clothing manifest workout equipment pilates classes yoga classes hot yoga clear skin flawless skin perfect skin care routine gua sha effect always hydrated never bloated full night of sleep always smell good soft & smooth skin manifest effortlessly self love meditate daily rose quartz booster formula
As I’ve said in my last post, the start of the new year is bringing about a slight new era on La vie en Rose Diaries! With the fresh start of 2023, I’ve decided to make a few subliminals. Personally I’ve always loved using these videos to aid in my manifestations and feeling more positive so why not make my own?
This subliminal is a dark feminine era glow up combo! It has plenty of layered affirmations for a complete femme fatale upgrade.
The dreamy scent of rose petals mixes with the burning sandalwood incense to create a witchy atmosphere. Rain pattering lightly against the skylight and fresh brewed green tea in front of me, it’s a peaceful afternoon.
